Nail conditioning package

Our conditioning program is created to untrain your dog’s brain and help change their perspective. Once your dog has decided that nail trimming or being handled is a painful or negative experience it is important that we stop and address these feelings.

Regaining the trust your dog has lost is the first step in our program. We not only validate your dog’s fears but also give them the ability to face and work through what they fear most. Doing this through a series of weekly 20-30 minute sessions over the period of a month is a careful but consistent approach that creates the ultimate confidence in your pup. Our sessions are a combination of relationship building, encouragement, rewards, structure, and boundaries. These are all the ingredients necessary for success, and how much of each is required will be dependent on your dog and what their specific needs are.

  • Our program is $400 plus tax to be paid in full at your first appointment. We also require all 4 sessions to be booked in advance before we begin.
  • Additional sessions can be added if necessary; the cost of which will be between $50-$70 per session which is dependent on your dog’s needs.
  • Once your dog has completed the program and requires regular nail trimming maintenance the cost will be between $20-$35 per visit.

Grooming conditioning package

Our conditioning program is created to untrain your dog’s brain and help change their perspective. Once your dog has decided that grooming is a negative experience it is important that we stop and address these feelings.

Regaining the trust your dog has lost is the first step in our program. We not only validate your dog’s fears but also give them the ability to face and work through what they fear most. Doing this through a series of weekly 30-50 minute sessions over the period of a month is a careful but consistent approach that creates the ultimate confidence in your pup. Our sessions are a combination of relationship building, encouragement, rewards, structure, and boundaries. These are all the ingredients necessary for success, and how much of each is required will be dependent on your dog and what their specific needs are.

  • Our program is between $400-$550 plus tax depending on breed, size, coat, and behaviours. In order for us to have the flexibility we need to assess your dog’s needs and the cost involved, we require $250 to be paid at your first appointment and the remainder to be paid once your dog has completed the program. We also require all 4 sessions to be booked in advance before we begin.
  • In order for us to continue to be able to help the dogs and families like you who need us most, we are unable to keep every grooming client who goes through our program. Unless your dog has true human aggression we will likely be working towards transitioning them to another groomer who we work closely with that shares our style and values.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice before cancellations, or the full appointment time will still be charged.
  • As we only work with one dog at a time, we schedule our day accordingly, so early or late drop-offs or pickups cannot be accommodated without prior notice.
  • Because we work with only one dog at a time, and we deal with many different behavioural issues, we ask that you do NOT show up early for your appointments and that you text or call if you will be late. If you are early, you will be asked to leave and come back, as arriving early takes away time the client before you has booked and paid for.
Robbie the Collie

Robbie

My husband and I got a rough collie pup with the best of intentions but we were not prepared for the keen intelligence and needs that made our boy, Robbie, overly reactive in many common settings and we needed help. Kelsey put Robbie at ease right away and both her and Kaila brought out the best in Robbie – and in me.  I’m so grateful to know these two young women who boosted Robbie’s confidence, and my own.  They are professional, loving and brimming with positive energy! I can’t thank Kelsey and Kaila enough for the tremendous support they have offered to Robbie and to our family
